These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and [OPERATOR NAME] ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the game Abyss Floors, including the game client, the account portal, and related services (together, the "Game"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Game, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Game.

2. Eligibility

4. Rules of conduct

  • Harass, threaten, defame, impersonate, or abuse other players or our staff, or post unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content in chat, character names, clan names, or anywhere else.
  • Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt our servers, other accounts, or the Game's security; or reverse-engineer the Game except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Use the Game for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

5. Virtual items and the in-game economy

  • Gold, resources, items, characters, and other in-game content ("Virtual Items") are part of the Game. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them within the Game. You do not own them, and they have no real-world monetary value.
  • Virtual Items cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be transferred outside the Game's own trading and market features.
  • The Game includes a player-driven economy, trading, and markets. We may add, remove, re-balance, adjust, reset, or expire Virtual Items and game mechanics at any time as part of operating and balancing the Game.
  • During testing, beta, or early phases, characters, progress, and Virtual Items may be reset or wiped. We will try to give reasonable notice of a planned wipe where practical.

6. Purchases and virtual currency

The Game may offer optional paid features, virtual currency, or premium content. Where it does:

  • Prices and available items are shown at the point of purchase. Payments are processed by our payment provider (for example, Steam) under their terms; we do not store your full payment details.
  • Purchased virtual currency and items are a licence as described in Section 5 — not property, and with no cash value.
  • To the extent permitted by law, purchases are final and non-refundable once the content is delivered or consumed. Nothing here limits any statutory refund or withdrawal rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

7. Content you submit

You are responsible for the content you create in the Game (such as character names, clan names, and chat messages). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate the Game. We may moderate, remove, or refuse content that breaks these Terms, but we are not obliged to monitor everything.

8. Service availability and changes

The Game is an online service provided on an "as available" basis. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the Game or any feature, and may perform maintenance, at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and are not liable for downtime, data loss, or lost progress except as required by law.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, or remove content, if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect cheating, fraud, or abuse, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable and lawful we will give notice. You may stop using the Game and close your account at any time. On termination, your licence to the Game and to any Virtual Items ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Ownership, Disclaimers, Liability, and Governing law) continue to apply.

10. Ownership and intellectual property

The Game, including its code, art, audio, characters, world, names, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited licence to play granted by these Terms, we reserve all rights. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Game except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Game will be secure, uninterrupted, or free of errors. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or Virtual Items, arising from your use of the Game. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Game is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the [12] months before the claim, or [AMOUNT / applicable statutory minimum].
